The restaurant

Restaurant De Echoput is famous for its game specialties and its wine-food pairing. For years flavour has been a subject of study for Peter Klosse and his people in the Echoput. In 2004 he was awarded his PhD for his work. He developed a new flavour theory that reveals a good part of the mystery of the combination of wines and foods. No need to say that his pioneering work can be savoured in the restaurant. Theory is put into practice. The staff devotes much time to finding new combinations, which is a team effort where the kitchen staff and wine stewards work seamlessly together. Restaurant guests experience the fruit of their labour. The dishes on the menu are always accompanied by a suggestion of a glass of wine that fits.

Restaurant De echoput is famous for its game dishes. This in a natural consequence of the way De Echoput is situated: amidst 11.000 hectares unspoilt forests. Which is a paradise for hunters.

The restaurant has its own, separate entrance. The dining room is spacious, modern japanese like design and has large French windows leading to the garden, giving ample opportunity to enjoy the environment. In winter days you'll like the warmth of the wood fire, in summer days dinner may be served on the terrace between the old beech and oak trees and water garden. The restaurant is non smoking and fully air conditioned. Pets are not allowed.
