Wild Atelier

Wild Atelier is the fine-dining restaurant of De Echoput, led by master chef Jonathan Zandbergen. At Wild Atelier, wild is not a product, but a philosophy: everything that lives freely in forest, land, and water forms the starting point.

The restaurant opened in June 2025 and was shortly thereafter included in the Lekker Top100, rated by Gault&Millau with 16.5/20 points and awarded the ‘Remarkable Newcomer of the Year’ and included in the selection of the Michelin Guide.

Grand Bistro Echo

Grand Bistro Echo is the warm casual-dining restaurant of De Echoput, where you are welcome seven days a week for à la carte lunch, high tea, cocktails, and dinner.

On the menu, you will find both beloved classics and contemporary dishes, from a classic shrimp cocktail and crispy fried sweetbreads to a fully catered multi-course gastronomic menu. In good weather, the terrace garden is also a delightful place for lunch, aperitif, or dinner in the greenery.

Exclusive wines that enrich the culinary experience

Wine is never a side issue at De Echoput. From the gastronomic tradition of Klosse Wines, dishes and wines are carefully matched. This creates a wine-food experience that deepens dishes and enriches the culinary experience. Based on the taste theory of Peter Klosse and the philosophy of the Academy for Gastronomy.

The Klosse family has been selecting and importing its own wines since the 1970s. Sustainable, gastronomic wines with character and elegance.

A gastronomic institute

In the 1950s, De Echoput was a teahouse with a simple meal for a few guilders. Yet, grandfather Jaap Klosse was ahead of his time and closely followed the developments of French cuisine. This gave him the idea to develop a more refined cuisine in the field of game. With these game specialties, 'Restaurant De Echoput' became one of the first Michelin-starred restaurants in the Netherlands. International star chefs came to Hoog Soeren to see how game was handled at De Echoput.

In the years that followed, the kitchen further specialized in unique wine and food combinations, under the leadership of 'taste professor' Peter Klosse. The third generation of Klosse is now building on this knowledge and tradition, under the leadership of Lodewijk Klosse.
