About Paleis Het Loo
Paleis Het Loo was built in the 17th century as a summer palace for stadtholder William III and Queen Mary II of England. Later, it was a summer residence of the Dutch Royal family. It is therefore an important symbol of the Dutch monarchy and royal history.
Paleis Het Loo is also special because of the architecture and the interior of the palace. The palace is designed in the Dutch Baroque style and has a rich collection of artworks, furniture, tapestries, and other objects that reflect the history and culture of the Netherlands and the royal family.
Since 1984, the palace has been open to the public as a museum. In 2018, a large-scale renovation and refurbishment of the palace began, during which the museum was expanded with a spectacular underground exhibition space. The palace is also special because of the beautiful gardens surrounding it. The gardens are designed in the French Baroque style and are one of the most beautiful and best-preserved examples of Baroque gardens in the Netherlands.
With our Paleis Het Loo package, you can combine your visit to the palace with a gastronomic 4-course dinner in our restaurant Grand Bistro Echo and a royal overnight stay in one of our Echoput rooms or suites.
